Hi, my name is Nicole Beyries. I'm currently in my second year attending exclusively the JC, although I doubled at the JC when I was in high school so I could graduate early. I graduated highschool in 2 years, so I'm probably signifigantly younger than most of the other students in the class. My 18th birthday is in two weeks, so I'm quite excited. I'm co-captain of our debate team, and last year I was ranked 7th debater in the state. I've been taking voice lessons for the past 9 years, but lately I've been focusing on opera & theatre. Over the summer I was in an opera at SSU and have won many scholarships. In 6th grade I got asked to sing the national anthem at the state democratic convention. I'm planning a double major in Communications (Argumentation & Rhetoric) and either Political Science or Macroeconomics.

I'm taking this class because it met a GE requirement and was available online, making it much easier on my schedule. I also really appreciate that the texts are available online, because one less $100 text book makes me happy :)

Currently, I still live with my parents on the far west side of Santa Rosa, about 5 miles from the JC. I'm looking for a house with a few friends right now though, so that may soon change.  I hate driving, so I ride my bike to school. I ride a mid-1970's Peugeot racing bike that I converted a little bit so it's easier to carry books on while riding. Any other bike nerds in the class?
